Many people believe that recycling their waste materials is enough. At 2020 Recycling we concentrate on BOTH reducing and reusing the resources we have, in addition to recycling.  The average sheet of paper can be recycled roughly 4-7x based on the length of the fibers used to create it. Through reducing and reusing we can extend the papers lifespan two-fold, as well as eliminate the harmful bleaching process, and gas emissions during transportation to the recycling facilities.

The traditional process of recycling paper, while a great practice, has some drawbacks. Americans only collect about 50% of the paper we consume on a yearly basis. The numbers below portray savings based on recycling 1 ton of paper.  See what impact your company could have with our calculator below:

Save enough energy to power the average American home for six months.
Save 7,000 gallons of water.
Save 3.3 cubic yards of landfill space.
Reduce greenhouse gas emissions by one metric ton of carbon equivalent (MTCE).
